When Do Puppies Lose All Their Puppy Teeth

When do puppies lose all their puppy teeth. They won t have back molars because they are relying on their mother s milk at that point. Puppies will typically start losing their baby teeth and getting their adult teeth at around four months of age. These are usually all in place by 8 weeks of age. However not all dogs follow this typical progression.

By the time your dog is about 6 months old he or she should have all 48 adult teeth. A puppy s baby teeth start coming in between 2 and 4 weeks of age and are completely grown in by 5 or 6 weeks. By now all of your puppy s baby teeth should have come in. Pups start to get their baby teeth at around 2 3 weeks of age starting with the incisors then the canine teeth and eventually the premolars.
